How Long Can Mr. Roto Go?

As of this posting, ESPN’s Matthew Berry — aka the Talented Mr. Roto — is hitting the 10-hour mark in his attempt at the company’s online chat record.

ESPN.com baseball aficionado Rob Neyer set the bar at 12 hours, 1 minute on MLB’s opening day last spring. According to the official clock, Berry will pass Neyer just after 10 p.m. Eastern time.

Of course, no one’s ever accused ESPN’s lead fantasy guy of being short on words. Good luck, Mr. Roto, but pace yourself.

Update: The final tally was 13 hours, 12 minutes. Score one for fantasy geeks everywhere. Really, our kind should win such computer duels. On top of setting records, a marathon chat provides gems like this …
