New Fantasy Site Takes Action
Sunday, February 22nd, 2009
Back when we had just hatched here at FSB.com, one of the earliest posts I made pointed out the untapped market of fantasy action sports and wondered how viable offering such games would be.
A new site appears ready to find out.
Fantasy Action Sports League calls itself a “collaboration of action sports enthusiasts” — even assuming the stereotypical slacker attitude as it warns that nice weather could result in late posting on the site.
The site presents contests in seven different sports, beginning with the Association of Surfing Professionals World Championship Tour event that takes place in Australia next month. Other sports include skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross, wakeboarding, BMX and motorcross (car).
FASL appears to offer free and pay options, with the pay level offering cash prizes sponsored by Billabong, Lost Enterprises and Surfline.
We should have more info on Fantasy Action Sports League once we talk to the folks in charge.
